Our largest project in 2024 was the construction of a girls’ dormitory at Oldonyo Oibor Primary School with an investment volume of around 60 thousand EUR. Since the school did not have sufficient sleeping facilities for girls, they had to walk to school daily, sometimes covering several kilometers. Above all, the high density of wildlife often leads to deadly encounters with lions or elephants.
By building the dormitory, we are able to provide 96 girls with a safe place to learn and live at their school. At the same time, we protect the children from the dangers of the often several-kilometer-long journey to school and ensure adequate nutrition. With this, we have a very high positive impact on many generations of schoolgirls with this project.
We designed our dormitory together with local architects in order to build as sustainably and regionally as possible. Many thanks to all supporters for this project.

The dormitory provides sleeping and washing facilities for 96 girls.

Sleeping and washing facilities for 96 girls
96 girls can thus attend the boarding school and no longer have to commute daily, they have daily meals and a safe learning environment.
Boarding schools increase the chances of good school qualifications and thus possibly a scholarship for university.
The girls now have the opportunity to sleep on the school grounds and have light for studying.
