The equipment of the classrooms, especially in public primary schools, is often in very poor condition.
Wooden school desks and benches are often dilapidated; students have to share a bench in groups of four or five, and in many schools, tables are even completely missing, forcing students to sit on the floor and write.
Investing in school desks is an effective way for us to be able to improve the learning conditions for many students. For this reason, in 2022 we equipped four schools with 300 new school desks and benches. This allows 900 students to write at one table, thereby learning better and following the lessons more easily.
Overall, we invested in 100 tables for Emukutan Primary School, 100 tables for Enkijape Primary School, and 50 tables each for Olanti Primary School and Nasipa Primary School.
In total, we provided over 300 school desks and tables in 2022.
Many of the schools do not have enough desks and benches to allow all students to take notes.
